Leon sensed Drex's coldness. It was just he hadn't really expected to see him. It was so over now. He knew it from the moment he walked out of Jonah's room and Drex had seen him. What was there left to say. What was done was done...
"How could you?" Drex squinted hard, catching his breath.
"It had nothing to do with you," Leon promised.
"You have no scruples do you?" Drex's teeth gnashed.
"Possibly." Best to leave it at that. "But I did love you." Leon finally confessed.
"I wanted to trust you," Drex shook his head, no.
"No you didn't." Leon just smiled. "I'll see you when I get back. In passing no less." There wasn't much he could ask of him now.
"Do you even like my brother?" Drex wanted the cold hard truth.
"Does it matter?" Leon hadn't thought of it. There was only one thing on his mind now. Getting Cher back. If he were to ever like himself again, that was the first thing he had to do. Make up for all his deviousness.
Drex hugged him then. They kissed one last time. It was so unexpected as Leon backed away. It was time to go. Perhaps there was something to come back to.
